Blondie in new book: Smithsonian Rock and Roll

Smithsonian Books just released Smithsonian Rock and Roll: Live and Unseen by Bill Bentley, a 232 page chronicle of the history of rock and roll.  Blondie is among the 140 artists featured in the diverse collection of photographs and articles spanning seven decades of rock and roll history.

In December 2015, the Smithsonian called on rock and roll fans worldwide to collect photos and stories of their favorite moments in music.  Music industry veteran Bill Bentley, former A&R Director at Concord Music Group and Vice President of Warner Bros. Records, who also has worked as a drummer, record store clerk, DJ, concert promoter, music producer, and record label publicist presents a curated history of rock music diverse in sound, genre, person, vision, and impact in a way that rock and roll has never been shown before.
