A&E has shared a sneak peek of Blondie performing their two new songs “Mother” and “What I Heard” off their forthcoming album Panic of Girls in this video clip from the upcoming premiere of A&E’s Private Sessions with host Lynn Hoffman. Blondie will be featured on the Australian 60 Minutes program, which will air at 7:30pm (Australian time) Sunday, October 10 on Channel Nine. The episode will be available for viewing online starting Monday on their 60 Minutes website.

A&E will air Blondie’s episode of Private Sessions on October 10. Hosted by Lynn Hoffman in an intimate loft setting, each hour is dedicated to the body of work of a single artist or group, featuring not only current releases but also the projects that defined and built careers. Blondie’s episode was recorded on June 4 in New York City and features conversation with the band members and live performances of a few classics as well as brand new material from Panic of Girls!
EMI will release Blondie’s entire live performance from New Year’s Eve 1979 on CD and DVD on October 4, 2010. Blondie’s concert at the Apollo in Glasgow was originally broadcast live on BBC Radio 1 and on The Old Grey Whistle Test, an influential BBC 2 TV show, which ran from 1971 to 1987.
Blondie at the BBC is packed full of rare footage and previously unreleased material and features: On a 22-track CD: * The entire live BBC Radio 1 recordings of the 1979 concert. On DVD: * Spectacular live footage of the Glasgow concert * Three performances for BBC 2’s Old Grey Whistle Test * Four Top Of The Pops performances: “Denis”, “Picture This”, “Sunday Girl”, and “Dreaming”
