Clem is receiving this honor in recognition of his musical excellence and groundbreaking involvement in original research, spanning a decade, that explores the physical demands and health benefits of drumming. The Clem Burke Drumming Project was co-founded by his collaboration with Dr. Marcus Smith, Principal Lecturer and Field Leader in Exercise Physiology at the University of Chichester, and Dr. Steve Draper of the University of Gloucestershire. Blondie.net thanks Dr. Smith and Dr. Draper for all of their work and for inviting fans everywhere to be a part of celebrating Clem’s achievement.
